If there’s an award for the definitive marketplace for the event management industry, that award would have to go to Event Production Show. For years, the Event Production Show has earned the distinction as THE conference where event organizers, suppliers, veterans, and newcomers congregate and discuss EVERYTHING about what makes a fantastic, experience-enriching event.
It’s the place where professionals involved in producing road shows, festivals, high-impact product launches, and other events sit down to have a good time and learn from industry experts and keynote speakers within the event industry.
For this year’s edition, the guys behind the Event Production Show have come up with a program that even surpasses the glory and wealth of information that the yesteryears’ editions have. Let’s take a look at what attendees will be treated to for this year’s Event Production Show:
What’s Up For This Year
This Feb. 11 to 12, attendees will witness the return to the main stage of the VERY popular Access Sessions. This 2014, the discussion (which will be led by Richard Vincent of Jack Morton Worldwide) shifts to mass experiential marketing – how to use it to your advantage and why it delivers more bang for your big events than niche-targeted brand recognition.
Following Mr. Vincent is Chris Johnson (from Green Festival Alliance). Along with his colleagues, this Access Session will take a closer look at what precisely a low carbon and sustainable events industry is like; share their successes and best practices; and show you some practical, no-non-sense ways to create a genuinely sustainable event.
If running concerts are your thing, you definitely want to tune in to Jim King’s (from AEG Live/Loud Sound) case study on the ‘Barclaycard Presents: British Summer Time’ concerts – how it rocked the summer season for supporters and performers alike and how to tweak this model for GREATER impact.
New Niceties On Offer
For 2014, the Events Production Show has two new and VERY instructive additions to their program that will surely take your understanding of event planning and management to a whole new level – the Event Technology Theatre and Production Area.
The former will cover and take a deep look at the why’s and how’s of using digital technology to your advantage: from using social media to generate visitors for your events; using technology for registering and managing your guests; selecting the RIGHT social media platform to promote your events; and everything else in between!
The Production Area, on the other hand, takes you to a trip – showing you what the day-to-day affairs one must handle to successfully manage and run an event. Sessions on evaluating tenders, naming rights, how to produce site plans and create schedules, and more are included in this new segment of the Event Production Show.
