Event Production Awards 2014 – And The Winners Are…

The Event Production Awards 2014 are over.

But the cheers and roars of the joyful crowd last February 11 at Earls Court, London can still be heard. Presented by comedian Jarred Christmas, the Event Production Awards 2014 recognized last year’s best of the best suppliers, manufacturers, teams, and employees of the event industry.

And the winners are…

Best Crewing Company – Crewsaders

The Birmingham-based Crewsaders bagged the “Best Crewing Company” award. With crew bases all over the country and catering to clients in Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Manchester, and Birmingham, Crewsaders have done a good job of working with clients and meeting the strict standards of ISO-20121.

Best Crowd Barrier – Eve Trakway Ltd

Eve Trakway Ltd is a heavy-weight when it comes to temporary access systems and related services. With 45 years of experience beefed up with fully trained and qualified staff, it wasn’t surprising they won the “Best Crowd Barrier” award.

Best Employee – Lucy Watson, Sevens7

Established in 2005, Sevens7 is an international events and broadcast service provider that has helped over 500 projects to completion. And Lucy Watson is their latest success story – winning the “Best Employee” award on the back of her efforts to revitalize Sevens7’s relationship with the younger generation of event organizers

Best Event – Under 15,000 People – Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work

Well, it’s hard to argue with the 95% of people who attended Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work Events. Their conclusion: The event added value to their work life. Kudos!

Best Event – Over 15,000 People – Latitude

It was in 2006 when Festival Republic first launched Latitude – their music and arts festival.  Festival Republic has never looked back since then, and Latitude’s visitors have since increased to 35,000.

Best Event Infrastructure – Star Events Group Ltd

Star Events Group, LTD has worked with clients and supplied stages, support structures, design services, and rigging for 30 years and counting. Such success doesn’t come by accident, and their hard work is rewarded with the “Best Event Infrastructure” award.

Best Flooring/Roadway – LION Trackhire Ltd

Having pioneered many firsts in the temporary and portable access solutions department, the Midlands-based company has bagged the “Best Flooring/Roadway Company” award for two consecutive years now!

photo 2COS Rentals very own Victoria Sikopoulis was part of the action and presented the award for “best sound company” which was won by Capital Sound Hire.

“COS Rental were very proud to be a part of this year’s Event Production Show, the awards are a great way to recognize both businesses and individuals in the industry who have excelled in their particular fields,” Vicky said.

“I spoke to show organizer Dan Edwards who said the show went really well and that attendance was up from 2013, which is great to hear. We look forward to being involved again next year!” she added.

If you are yet to attend the Event Production Show, you sure don’t want to miss next year’s edition. Mash Media, the company behind the show, announced that the 2015-edition of Event will be collocated with Int’l Confex. Both events will be held at Olympia from February 18 to 19, 2015.
